Diagnose strange noises, leaks, and error codes interactively to get an instant DIY fix or a pre-filled pro repair brief.
Stop Guessing. Start Fixing.
Before you pay $150 for a service call just to have a technician tell you your filter is dirty, run your equipment through our interactive diagnostic tree:
- Select the Component: Click on the pump, heater, filter, or salt cell.
- Answer the Prompts: The wizard will ask you dynamic follow-up questions to isolate the exact cause of the failure.
- Get Your Action Plan: If it's a DIY fix, we'll give you the steps and the replacement parts to order. If it's a complex issue, we will package the diagnostic code so you can send it to a local pro.
Safety First: Electricity and Water
Pool equipment pads deal with highly pressurized water vessels and 240-volt electrical currents. Safety is paramount. If your pump is acting up, always turn off the main breaker to the equipment pad before opening a pump lid or touching a motor.
Filter Pressure Warnings
Never attempt to unscrew, tighten, or adjust the metal clamp band in the middle of your pool filter while the pump is running. The tank is highly pressurized and can blow off violently.
The GFCI Breaker
If your pool light or pump instantly trips the breaker, do not forcefully hold the breaker "On". This is a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter detecting that electricity is escaping into the water.
Time to Upgrade?
If your old single-speed pump has finally died, replacing it with a Variable Speed Pump (VSP) can save you up to $1,200 a year in electricity.
